I have worked at HPH since 2016 and became a Partner in 2022.
I joined HPH in 2022 and run the payroll department here, so I can help you with anything from Statutory Maternity Pay to Employment Allowance and everything in between.
With over twenty years’ experience at HPH, I work with a broad range of not-for-profit sector entities as well as a significant number of commercial organisations.
My portfolio of clients includes landlords, sole traders and trusts. Whilst my specialism is in personal tax, I do also work in other areas, such as Inheritance Tax.
I joined HPH in 2023 with over 4 years of practice experience and deal with the preparation of clients’ accounts and VAT returns.
I joined HPH in 2015 and qualified as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant in 2022. I work with a wide range of commercial and not-for-profit organisations.
After graduating from the University of Stirling, I worked for HPH for 14 years from 1996.
I work in the support area of the firm, dealing with phone calls and various administration tasks, together with meeting and greeting clients.
I joined HPH in 2020 after my husband and I made the decision to relocate to Harrogate from the South Coast, where I worked for an accountancy firm for 6 ½ years.
I joined HPH in 2001 and I am one of HPH’s tax team, helping a range of clients from sole traders to higher net worth individuals, some of whom are landlords, which requires my knowledge of property taxation.
I joined HPH in 2023 after serving for 7 years in the Royal Navy’s submarine service as an engineering officer, and deal with the preparation of clients’ accounts.
I am responsible for all ICT resources for HPH over both offices and I am the one people moan at when things go wrong!
Over the past twenty years at HPH, I have worked with a variety of businesses from sole traders to small companies, and members of the medical profession.
I joined HPH in 2023 as an accounts assistant. Having experience in the tax service, an audit firm and as an accountant in a trading company in Ukraine, I’m enjoying learning again.
As the firm’s tax manager, and now HPH’s longest serving employee, I work with a wide range of business and private clients helping them with tax planning and compliance.
I have worked for HPH for over 25 years during which time I have helped and guided a broad range of clients from start-up, owner managed enterprises to large limited companies in the running of their business.
I started working for HPH in 1988, taking a small break to have my children from 1999 to 2005. I became Office Manager in 2014.
Adrian trained with HPH in York having graduated with a joint degree in Maths and Music from the University of York in 1983. He managed the Harrogate office of the firm from 1996 and became a Partner in 1999. He has been the firm's Managing Partner since 2012.
Adrian has specific responsibilities within the firm for Technology and represents the firm on the Accelerate Technology Forum (currently as chairman), helping to determine national policies throughout the Association. He is also responsible for Staff and for Practice Assurance within the firm.
His client portfolio includes many commercial entities, together with a range of charities and other not for profit organisations. He has a particular interest in charities through family involvement and advises informally in a number of areas. Adrian holds the Institute of Chartered Accountants' premier qualification in the not-for-profit sector, the Diploma in Charity Accounting.
In addition to being qualified as a Business Finance Professional, Adrian is also authorised to undertake non-contentious Probate work through our sister company, HPH Probate Services Limited.
Adrian’s wider interests outside the working environment include activities at, and the running of, his local church where he is a keen musician and youth worker. He acts as a Charity Trustee and spent many years as a School Governor.
Sarah joined the firm in 1998, after completing an Economics and Finance BSc at the University of York, to train as a Chartered Accountant in the York office. She moved to the Harrogate office in 2005 and was promoted to manager in 2006. She was appointed a partner on 1 July 2013.
As well as being a qualified Chartered Accountant, Sarah holds the Institute of Chartered Accountants' premier qualification in the not-for-profit sector, the Diploma in Charity Accounting. She is an audit specialist within the firm and also works with and supports owner-managed and family-owned enterprises.
Within HPH, Sarah is responsible for Audit Compliance and quality control, as well as Students and Training.
Outside work Sarah is a school governor and charity trustee, and enjoys walking and travelling.
I have worked at HPH since 2016 and became a Partner in 2022. I work with a variety of businesses preparing annual accounts, tax returns, and providing other business services and advice. Online accounting is something I take an interest in and I am a qualified advisor for Xero, QuickBooks and FreeAgent.
In my free time, I like to cook for and entertain friends. I also enjoy going for walks with my dog, exploring new places and spending time with my husband and young son.
With over twenty years’ experience at HPH, I work with a broad range of not-for-profit sector entities as well as a significant number of commercial organisations. The majority of my work is regulated auditing or conducting independent examinations.
Outside of work I have a keen interest in various motorsports and enjoy participating in health and fitness activities.
Qualifications: Fellow Member of The Association of Accounting Technicians.
Outside of work my time is spent with my young family. My hobbies include baking and ceramic painting. As a family we are trying our hand at growing fruit and vegetables, although this is not proving to be very fruitful. I have also been the treasurer for the local school Parents Association and was instrumental in setting up the local Beaver Colony.

I joined HPH in 2015 as an apprentice and qualified as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant in 2022. I work with a wide range of commercial and not-for-profit organisations, assisting with the preparation of accounts and tax returns. In recent years I have become more involved with regulated audit work, an area in which I am keen to gain more experience.
Outside of work I enjoy going for walks in the countryside with friends and family. I also enjoy travelling to new places with my husband whenever we get the chance.

After graduating from the University of Stirling, with a degree in Accountancy, I worked for HPH for 14 years from 1996. During this time, I worked with many different types of organisations providing accountancy, taxation and other business services and I gained my ACCA qualification in 2000. I left to pursue my love of the great outdoors and guided people in the Highlands of Scotland whilst running my own bookkeeping business.
I have now returned “home” to HPH and I hope to continue my professional development providing accountancy services to many different clients.
Outside of work I like to bake and go on walks with my two dogs.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time outdoors when the weather allows, taking a walk or a bike ride. I’m also a keen reader and like watching films. When the opportunity arises, I love to try new activities and visit new places. Spending quality time with friends and family is important to me.
I joined HPH in 2001 and I am one of HPH’s tax team, helping a range of clients from sole traders to higher net worth individuals, some of whom are landlords, which requires my knowledge of property taxation. Whilst most of my time is spent dealing with personal tax matters I am also familiar with many aspects of VAT, trusts and capital gains tax.
In my free time I enjoy football, going to the theatre and cinema, and exploring the different countries of wider Europe.

Outside of work I enjoy running, swimming and playing football. I am planning to complete my third marathon in the near future.
Currently, I am pursuing the ICAEW Chartered Accountant qualification.

I am responsible for all ICT resources for HPH over both offices and I am the one people moan at when things go wrong! It certainly doesn’t seem like over 12 years since I joined the firm. Time flies when you’re having fun. I also look after clients’ IT needs, which gets me out of the office.
In my free time I am a keen, competitive runner, although age is catching up with me – in particular my knees. I also like anything with four wheels and an engine.
Qualifications: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate.
I joined HPH in 2019 and deal with the preparation of accounts, both sole trader and limited company, personal tax returns, partnerships and also assist with audit work. I am a qualified advisor for Xero and QuickBooks
Outside of work I enjoy finding new hikes with our dog. Our favourite place to visit is Hunmanby Gap.

Outside of work I am involved in historic vehicle preservation, with four vintage tractors which I show, and I also follow cricket.
Currently I’m studying at York College on English courses and I would like to learn about the peculiarities of English accounting and taxation.
Outside of the office I enjoy going for walks in the narrow fairy-tale streets of York and exploring new sights.
My main achievement is my family, my two kids who I’m proud of, and I enjoy spending time with.
Recently, unexpectedly for myself, I have fallen in love with the English language and life without a plan. I’m trying to love what I do and do what I love.

I joined HPH in 2019 while studying Accounting and Finance at University. Having recently graduated I am now studying for my ACA qualification, while assisting in the preparation of accounts and tax returns.
Outside of work I spend most of my time socialising with friends, often playing games or exploring the many pubs of York.
After training and qualifying at HPH, I now work with a wide variety of clients, ranging from small sole traders to large limited companies, providing a wide range of services including bookkeeping, management, annual and charity accounts, audits and tax returns.
Outside of work I enjoy playing football, golf and clay pigeon shooting.

Outside work I can be found on stage with York Light Opera Company (of which I’m also treasurer) or walking the fells. I’m also involved in church administration and trustee of a national charity.

One of my specialist areas is online accounting and I am a qualified advisor for Xero, QuickBooks and FreeAgent.
Outside of work I enjoy running and raising money for local causes.

Away from the office I have a keen interest in the theatre and musicals, enjoy learning new languages and like to travel as much as possible with my extended family.
I have worked in practice, running payrolls, for over ten years. Outside of work I am a motorsport fan (F1 and BTCC), enjoy going to gigs and have a Scottish Terrier who doesn’t like walking in the rain! I also enjoy gardening.
Outside of the office I enjoy going on walks with my Fiancé and our dog. I also enjoy running.
